Descaling
Scale will be deposited on the heating element at a rate depending on the hardness of
the water. For this reason, the heating element must be cleaned at regular intervals.

Dispose of packaging material, such as plastic and boxes, in the appropriate waste
containers.
When this product reaches the end of its useful life do not dispose of it by putting it
in a dustbin; hand it in at a collection point for the reuse of electrical and electronic

packaging.

Make sure the plug has been removed from the plug socket and the appliance has
cooled down.
Use a damp cloth to clean the inside (water reservoir) and outside of the base and
dry it thoroughly.
Clean the accessories (steam containers, rice container, bases, lids and partition)
in warm, soapy water.
Do not use metal objects or a scourer, because they may cause scratches.
Never immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in water. Never clean the
appliance or the accessories in a dishwasher.
Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning products.
Fill the water reservoir to just above the heating element with a mixture of 50%
water and 50% (cleaning) vinegar.
Set the steam time to 1 minute to heat the vinegar solution. A warm vinegar
solution removes the scale better than a cold vinegar solution.
Turn off the appliance and allow the vinegar solution to take effect for an hour.
Remove the vinegar solution and thoroughly rinse the water reservoir to remove
all the vinegar.
Clean the appliance (see Maintenance and cleaning).
