Installation and operating instructions
OPUS-FUNK PLUS actuator four-way REG
for Funk Plus transmitter
Art.
no.: 561.344
1.
Description
The actuator is controlled by radio signals from the Opus
transmitters). Each transmitter can simultaneously control an unlimited number of actuators.
The transmitters have a fixed address. The transmitters must be assigned (programmed)
on a actuator.
Different consumers such as incandescent lamps, high-voltage halogen lamps, electronic
ballast and inductive loads can be switched with the actuator. Outputs 1 and 2 are normally-
open contacts, and outputs 3 and 4 are two-way switches.
2.
Mounting
The actuator has 4 potential-free relay contacts. Outputs 1 -4 are normally open contacts.
Outputs C are normally-closed contacts. The contacts may not be operated at pulsating
voltages (such as 12V DC and 230V AC).

Mounting and set-up may only be carried out by an authorised professional. All works may only
be performed once the mains power supply 230V/50Hz~ has been switched off. Mounting must
adhere to the valid laws, standards and regulations.
The supply line may only be fused with a fuse or circuit breaker (max. 16A).
For programming, the actuators must be connected to the mains power supply. The programming
is retained even in a power failure. NEVER mount the Radio Plus transmitter or actuator in a metal
housing or directly next to large metal objects. It is also not advisable to mount the actuators on the
floor or close to the floor.
The following points must be observed:
- the valid laws, standards and regulations
- the best available technology at the time of installation.
- the operating instructions of the Radio Plus-modules.
- the fact that operating instructions can only contain general guidelines and that these
must be considered in the context of a specific system.
Caution!! The Radio Plus-modules must not be used with devices, which could affect human
health or safety, or en- danger humans, animals or material assets.
3. Ranges between transmitters and actuators
The range of the Radio Plus radio signals decreases as the distance between transmitter and
actuator increases. If the normal range between transmitter and actuator is insufficient, an Radio
Plus Repeater (561.400) can be employed to increase range. The range between the transmitter
and actuator in a house is approx. 30m (line-of-sight connection) and 100m in halls.
The transmission range depends on the materials used in the building:
Material
Typical range
Masonry
20m (max. 3 walls)
Reinforced concrete
10m (max. 1 wall/ceiling)
Drywall/wood
30m (max. 5 walls)
4.
Error analysis in the case of radio interference
For a new or pre-existing system:
• Check the system voltage of the actuator.
• Check if the actuator is receiving a radio command.
• Check if the actuator is connected as specified.
• Check the operation of the connected consumers.
• Delete all transmitters in the actuator, and reprogramme the actuator.
• Check if any changes have been made around the system that could generate problems
(metal cabinets, walls or furniture has been moved, etc.).
If possible, restore things to their original status.
• Mount the transmitter or actuator at a better location.

The actuator independently turns ON and OFF:
• This can occur when an outside transmitter is activated within the actuator range that was
previously programmed in the actuator.
• Delete all transmitters in the actuator, and reprogramme the actuator.
A transmitter does not work:
• Take the transmitter and move toward the actuator. If the system still works at a closer
distance, the transmitter was installed outside of the transmission range, or there
was interference.
• Mount the transmitter or actuator at a better location.
5. Learn mode
Press the LRN button and hold it down.
active, which is confirmed as LED 1 flashes.
Pressing the LRN button again in learn mode switches you to channel 2 to 4, which is confirmed
when the associated LED flashes. Outputs 1 to 4 of the channels are switched on and off for a
second while the respective LED flashes.
When no button of an Radio Plus transmitter is pressed, the actuator leaves the learn mode
independently after approx. 30s. If you want to leave learn mode manually, press the LRN button in
channel 1 until no LED flashes in channel 4.
6. Assigning
Radio Plus
30 transmitters can be assigned to the actuator . The memory of each actuator is empty when
delivered. A transmitter must not be more than 5m away from the actuator in learn mode, because
the actuator will then work with a limited reach.

flashes. By pressing one of the transmitter buttons, the transmitter is assigned to the switching
actuator, and the LED shortly stops flashing. The LED status identifies if the transmitter has been
saved (LED on) or deleted (LED off). Then the LED starts flashing again, and other transmitters
can be assigned.
Independently of which transmitter button has been pressed, the entire functionality of the
transmitter is recorded when it is assigned.
7. Selective deleting of a transmitter
A transmitter that has been saved can selectively be deleted again. The learn mode is activated by
pressing the LRN button. One of the transmitters buttons has to pressed to delete it. If the button
is recognized, the transmitter assignment is deleted (LED status = off), and the actuator returns to
learn mode.
8. Deleting all assigned transmitters
Press the CLR button and hold it down for approx. 2s. During this time, the memory is completely
deleted (delivery status). Then, the actuator is in learn mode which is signalled as LED 1 flashes.
