The remote controlled wireless
outdoor switch RSLR2

Intended use
This remote controlled, wireless, outdoor switch is intended for turning connected consumer
loads on or off, either manually via a push button on the device or via a suitable remote switch.
The wireless outdoor switch is suitable for use outdoors (IP44).
All the safety and operating instructions in this manual must be followed carefully. These in-
structions not only protect the device but, in particular, your health. Please read the entire
operating manual before using the product.
This product complies with the applicable National and European requirements. All names of

Safety instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such cases,
the warranty will be null and void.
• The unauthorized opening, conversion and/or modification of this product is not
permitted because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the product
emits only relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to the malfunction of life-
support systems. The same may possibly be the case in other areas.
• The wireless outdoor switch is designed in accordance with protection class I.
Only a standard mains socket (230 V/AC, 50 Hz with protective earth) for the pub-
lic supply grid may be used as the power source for the remote controlled wireless
outdoor switch. The mains socket, into which the product will be inserted, must be
easily accessible.
• The mains socket, into which the product will be inserted, must be easily acces-
sible.
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Therefore,
be especially careful when children are around. Children might try to push objects
through the socket openings, for example. There is a risk of a lethal electric shock!
• The wireless outdoor switch is suitable for use outdoors (IP44).
• Never touch the product, or the mains plug, with wet or damp hands when trying
to connect a plug to the wireless outdoor switch. There is a risk of a lethal electric
shock!
• Never remove a mains plug from the mains socket on the front of the wireless
outdoor switch by pulling on the power cable. Always hold the plug by the lateral
grip surface to pull it out of the wireless outdoor switch.
• Do not connect adapter pugs behind each other!
• The device is de-energized only when it is disconnected from the mains socket.
• Do not overload the wireless outdoor switch (take note of the input power in the
technical data at the end of the operating manual!).
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around since it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height.
• If the product casing is damaged, do not use the product anymore! When it is con-
nected to the mains, do not touch the wireless outdoor switch or the connected
device! First, switch off all the poles of the mains socket whereto the wireless out-
door switch is connected (turn off the circuit breaker and the FI protective switch).
You can then remove the wireless outdoor switch from the mains socket. Take the
product to a specialist workshop or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.

1) "ON/OFF/INDICATOR" button/LED
Using this button, the wireless outdoor switch can be activated or deactivated manually. This
button also serves as the programming button.
2) Front socket for connecting a consumer load with child-proof lock
Programming the wireless outdoor switch to a radio transmitter
• Set the switch group on the transmitter, to which you want to program the wireless outdoor
switch, if necessary (e.g. for a radio remote control) using the selector switch for the switch
group.
• Plug the wireless outdoor switch into a standard 230 V/AC, 50 Hz household socket. Then,
the LED will flash (2).
• Press the ON button for the desired switching channel on the radio transmitter, i.e. that to
which you want to program the wireless outdoor switch, before the LED stops flashing. The
LED (2) will go off. The programming has been completed successfully.
Programming the wireless outdoor switch to recognise several
radio transmitters
• Set the switch group on the transmitter, to which you want to program the wireless outdoor
switch, if necessary (e.g. for a radio remote control) using the selector switch for the switch group.
• Plug the wireless outdoor switch into a standard 230 V/AC, 50 Hz household socket and
press the button/LED "ON/OFF/INDICATOR" (2), until the LED starts to flash red.
• Press the ON button for the desired switching channel on the radio transmitter, i.e. that to
which you want to program the wireless outdoor switch, before the LED (2) stops flashing.
The LED (2) will go off. The programming has been completed successfully.
Deleting the programmed wireless outdoor switches from a
radio transmitter
Please observe the operating instructions for the corresponding radio transmitter.
Start-up, function test
Select the correct switch group on the transmitter, if necessary (e.g. on a radio remote control).
Plug the wireless outdoor switch (without the consumer load connected!) into the designated
earthed mains socket.
You can now test the function of the wireless outdoor switch by briefly pressing the respective
ON button for the corresponding switching channel. The red LED (2) will light up. The socket
(1) on the front is now activated; the mains voltage is available and a connected consumer
load is turned on.
Briefly press the OFF button, for the switching channel on the transmitter; the LED (2) is turned
off; the mains voltage to the front socket (1), and thus the connected consumer load, is turned off.

Operation

Connect the consumer load to the front socket (1).
By pressing the respective ON or OFF button for the switching channel on the radio transmitter,
you can turn the wireless outdoor switch on (the LED (2) will light up) or off (the LED (2) will
go out).
The wireless outdoor switch can be switched on or off using the "ON/OFF" button (1) located
on the front.
You can program up to 10 radio transmitters for the wireless outdoor switch.
Please consult the section "Technical data" for the consumer load's permis-
sible maximum power.
