• You are recommended to change the tooth-
brush heads every 2 – 3 months and at the
latest when the bristles bend outwards.
• Clean the brush head(s) with warm water
before using for the first time.
• Attach the brush head to the handle unit.
• Moisten the toothbrush and squeeze tooth-
paste on it.
• To avoid spray, place the toothbrush at an
angle to the surface of your teeth. Only then
should you switch on the handle unit by
pressing the ON/OFF switch. The handle
first automatically switches to the Medium
setting.
• Select the desired setting by press-
ing the ON/OFF switch several times:
1 x: Medium for children over the age of
7 years; 2 x: Soft for children up to the
age of 7 years; 3 x: Massage; 4 x: Off.
• Move the brush slowly from tooth to tooth
using a slight circular motion.
– Begin with the outer surfaces.
– Then clean the back surfaces of the
molars.
– Then clean the inside surfaces and finally
the chewing surfaces.
• Switch off the toothbrush before removing it
from your mouth to avoid being sprayed.
Note
Only use the JZA 70 accessories delivered
with the unit.

7. Cleaning and care of the unit

Cleaning the brush head and handle unit
Caution
• Ensure that no water penetrates the unit.
• Do not clean the unit in the dishwasher.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents or
hard brushes.
• Clean the brush head and handle unit after
each use.
• Remove the brush head from the handle
unit and rinse the brush head thoroughly
under running water.
• The handle may be cleaned with a soft,
damp cloth.
• Dry the parts completely.
Cleaning the charging unit and brush
container
• Disconnect the charging unit from the mains
supply.
• Remove the tiger attachment and brush
holder from the charger. You can now clean
the individual parts using a mild cleaning
agent. Allow the charging unit to dry com-
pletely before its next use.
• A set of 4 replacement toothbrushes can
be obtained using the order numbers
JZA 07 and JZA 04.

8. Disposal

In the interest of protecting the environ-
ment, the unit must not be thrown out with
the household waste at the end of its service
life.
Dispose of the unit at a suitable collection or
recycling point.
Follow the local regulations for dis-
posal of materials. Dispose of the
unit in accordance with EC Directive
2002/96/EC – WEEE (Waste Electri-
cal and Electronic Equipment). For any que-
ries please contact the municipal authority
responsible for disposal.
Standard and rechargeable batteries should
not be disposed of in household waste. As a
consumer, you are legally obliged to return
used batteries and rechargeable batteries for
proper disposal. You can hand in your used
batteries at public collection points in your
district or sales outlets where batteries and
rechargeable batteries of this type are sold.
The codes below are printed
on batteries containing
harmful substances:
Pb = battery contains lead,
Cd = battery contains
cadmium, Hg = battery
contains mercury.
