 – Alwaysstoresparefiltercartridges
sealedintheoriginalpackaginginacool
anddryplace.

onlywithmunicipallytreatedtapwater
(note:thiswaterisconstantlycontrol-
ledandaccordingtolegalregulations
safetodrink)orwithwaterfromprivate
supplieswhichhasbeentestedassafe
todrink.Ifaninstructionisreceivedfrom
theauthoritiesthatmainswatermustbe
boiled,the B RITAfilteredwatermustalso
beboiled.Whentheinstructiontoboil
waterisnolongerinforce,theappliance
andfilterfunnelmustbecleanedand
anewcartridgeinsertedtoensureany
residualcontaminantsareremoved.
 – Pleasefiltercoldtapwateronly.
 – Cleantheapplianceandfilterfunnel
regularly.
 – Forcertaingroupsofpeople(e.g.those
withimpairedimmunityandforbabies),it
isgenerallyrecommendedthattapwater
shouldbeboiled;thisalsoappliesto

 – Forhygienereasons,the M AXTRA
cartridgecontentsaresubjecttospecial
treatmentwithsilver.Averysmall
amountofsilvermaybetransferredto
thewater.Thistransferencewouldbe
withintheWorldHealthOrganisation
(WHO)guidelines.
 – Duringthefilteringprocess,theremaybe
aslightincreaseinpotassiumcontent.
However,onelitreof B RITAfilteredwater
containslesspotassiumthane.g.an
apple.Ifyouhavekidneydiseaseand/
orfollowapotassiumrestricteddiet,we
recommendthatyouconsultyourdoctor
