Safety instructions
In case of any damages which are caused due to
failure to observe these operating instructions,
improper operation or the failure to observe the safety
instructions, the guarantee will expire! We do not
assume liability for resulting damages!
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important
instructions in the operating manual. Carefully read
the whole operating manual before putting the device
into operation.
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the unit is
inadmissible because of safety and approval reasons (CE, UL and
E).
• Never exceed the maximum input voltages and never connect
loads with a nominal power consumption of more than 72 W to the
device.
• Never use the device if it exhibits any damages.
• In industrial facilities, the safety regulations laid down by the
professional trade association for electrical equipment and
facilities must be adhered to.
• Keep the device out of reach of children.
• Never connect storage batteries or other voltage sources to the
output of the device. Otherwise the device might be destroyed.
• Use the accessories enclosed in the delivery only.
• Never try to connect the output connector to your notebook by
force. If you have chosen the right connector, it can be connected
easily.
• The jumpers to adjust the output voltage are purpose-made
components. Never use common plug fuses etc. to operate the
device.

Always observe the polarity of the input voltage of the
notebook converter. Wrong polarity might destroy the
notebook converter.
Never cover the notebook converter.
Always
switch
off
connecting it to the notebook converter.
Never start the engine of the vehicle to which the
notebook converter is connected during operation of
the notebook converter. Voltage peaks might destroy
the notebook converter as well as connected loads.
Before starting the engine, separate the notebook
converter from the on-board mains, then start the
engine. After starting the engine, reconnect the
notebook converter to the on-board mains.
Fuse replacement
To check or to replace the integrated fuse, simply twist off the tip of
the cigarette lighter connector, check the integrated fuse and replace
it by a new one of the same type (8 A), if necessary.
Disposal
Please dispose of the unserviceable device according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
