 Remove the mains power cable connector (Fig. A,
12) from the socket (Fig. A, 13) on the base plate.
 Fold up the cover (Fig. A, 2).
 Pull the spent filter insert upwards out of the filter
housing.
 Unpack the new filter insert.
 Insert the new filter insert into the filter housing as
shown in Figure D.
 Close the cover.
 Insert the mains power cable connector (Fig. A, 12)
to stop into the socket (Fig. A, 13) in the base
plate.

Cleaning

DANGER
Fatal injury due to electric shock.
 Disconnect the aquarium from the mains
power supply before cleaning or maintaining
the aquarium.
 Never reach into the water when the
aquarium is connected to the mains power
supply.
CAUTION
Cuts due to shards of glass.
 Make sure not to break the tank.
 If the tank breaks, remove the shards of
glass carefully.
ATTENTION!
Damage to the aquarium due to improper
cleaning.
 Do not use hard, pointed or sharp objects.
 Clean the aquarium using a soft cloth or
sponge.

Poisoning of the tank content due to incorrect
cleaning products.
 Do not use any cleaning agents or soap for
cleaning.
 Use clean water or special cleaning products
for aquaria.
Cleaning the aquarium
 Remove the mains power cable connector (Fig. A,
12) from the socket (Fig. A, 13) on the base plate.
 Fold up the cover (Fig. A, 2).
 Pull the splash water protection (Fig. A, 9) off from
the filter housing.
 Carefully wipe tank soiling off using a cloth.
 Wipe the underside of the cover off with a
moistened, lint-free cloth (e.g. Tetra EasyWipes).
 Position the splash protection (Fig. A, 9) with the
opening onto the circular bracket on the filter
housing (Fig. A, 6).
 Carefully press the splash protection onto the
bracket.
 Close the cover.
 Insert the mains power cable connector (Fig. A, 12)
to stop into the socket (Fig. A, 13) in the base
plate.
If you would like to clean the aquarium thoroughly,
the tank must be emptied completely.
