 Route the mains power cable so that the cable
sags slightly just before reaching the mains socket.
The lowest point of the cable must lie below the
mains socket. This prevents any water which drips
off the cable from entering the mains socket.
Never repair electrical components
yourself
 Electrical work must only be carried out by the
manufacturer's customer service or qualified
specialist electricians. Otherwise, you endanger
yourself and others.
Avoiding the risk of suffocation
 Do not allow children to play with packaging films.
Avoiding damage
 Never transport the aquarium when it is filled.
 Only clean the aquarium with soft cloths or
sponges (e.g. Tetra EasyWipes).
 For cleaning purposes, use clean water or special
cleaning products for aquaria.
 Only connect the aquarium to the mains power
supply when the tank is filled with water.
Installing the device securely
 Install the aquarium on a level, waterproof and
stable surface.
 The load-bearing capability of the installation
location must be greater than the weight of the
aquarium when full. Information on the weight
when full can be found in the section entitled
Technical data
from page 18.

Preparing

CAUTION
Cuts due to shards of glass.
 Make sure not to break the tank.
 If the tank breaks, remove the shards of
glass carefully.
ATTENTION!
Damage to the aquarium and glass breakage
due to improper unpacking.
 Lift the aquarium with one hand on the base
plate.
 Hold the aquarium firmly with your other
hand on the illumination arm.
ATTENTION!
Damage to the aquarium due to the selection
of an unsuitable installation location.
 Make sure that the installation location has
the necessary load-bearing capability.
Permanent location must be strong enough
for at least three times the estimated mass
of the filled aquarium. Information on this
can be obtained in the section entitled
Technical Data
 Make sure that the installation location is
flat, level and waterproof.
An earthed 220 V - 240 V ~ 50 Hz socket must be
situated close to the installation location.
 Remove all parts of the aquarium from the
transportation packaging.
 Set the aquarium down at the desired installation
location on a level surface with sufficient load-
bearing capability.
