using the adjusting ring . Firmly tighten
the adjusting ring to prevent the lamp
from descending during treatment. While
adjusting the height, hold the lamp by the
hinge  or the handle .
Completely unwind the power cable.
Insert the plug into the socket. Turn the
instrument on by pressing the main switch
(ON/OFF). The green LED lamp will light
up. The lamp is turned off by once more
pressing the main switch (ON/OFF).
The desired time may be set by pressing the
"Time +" and "Time –" buttons (between 0
and 30 minutes). The desired light intensity
(high, medium, low) is set by adjusting the
mode button. The medium position is the
pre-programmed standard setting that is
automatically activated when switching
on the lamp. This time period may be
adjusted during treatment. The lamp
automatically switches off as soon as this
time period expires. Disconnect the plug
from the socket and allow the lamp to
cool off before putting it away.
The treatment may be interrupted by
using the time-out button. The lamp
will switch off, but the remaining time
period stays in the display, which makes it
possible to proceed with the treatment a
little later by pressing the time-out button
once more.
The instrument should never be used more
than 15 minutes at a time. It is preferable
to perform several short treatments
instead of one longer treatment.
The tilt angle of the lamp may be adjusted
as well. Hold the lamp by its handle 
and position it as desired, making sure
not to touch the light filter and burning
yourself.
Keep at least 50-60 cm distance from the
lamp to prevent the skin from overheating.
If the heat feels uncomfortable to you,
simply increase the distance until the heat
feels comfortable.
Cleaning and maintenance
Always be sure to disconnect
the plug from the socket and
allow the instrument to cool off
before cleaning it. The outside
may be cleaned with a moist
cloth. Make sure that no water can enter
the instrument. Never use any abrasive
cleaners, abrasive sponges, or liquids such
as alcohol, benzene, or acetone. After
cleaning, dry the instrument thoroughly
with a dry cloth.
Defective halogen lamps are to be replaced
by an authorized workshop.
The halogen lamp is not covered by the
warranty. You are not entitled to free
halogen lamp replacement.
Waste management
Neither this instrument nor the lamps are to
be disposed of with the household waste.
Consumers are obliged to send all electric
or electronic instruments, whether or not
they contain any hazardous materials, to
a depository for environmental pollutants
in their home town or to their specialized
dealership to ensure their environmentally
sound disposal.
