• Switch off the amplifier with the POWER switch (18).
• Switch off the mixing desk with the POWER switch (9).
• Switch off signal sources with independent power supply.
Failure to observe this sequence could damage the speakers or the power amplifier.
Music should not be listened to at excessive volume over a longer period of time, since this can dam-
age the hearing.
Before using the headphones, make sure that the volume is set to minimum "0". Increase the volume
slowly to a level comfortable for you.
Notes
Never turn on the unit immediately after it has been brought from a cold into a warm room.
Condensation water that forms might destroy your device.
Leave the device switched off and wait until it has reached room temperature. Wait until
condensation water has evaporated.
Avoid operation under adverse conditions. Adverse conditions are:
• too high humidity (> 90 % relative air humidity) wetness, dust and flammable gases, vapours or solvents
• too high ambient temperatures (> +35 °C), too low ambient temperatures (< +5 °C)

Changing of Fuse

Switch the unit off.
Separate the unit from the mains voltage by pulling the mains plug.
• Pull out the fuse holder, on the back of the unit, with the finger nail or with a suitable screwdriver (to lever
out).
• Remove the broken fuse and replace the fuse only with a fuse of the same type (type / nominal current /
nominal voltage / trip characteristics).
• At 230V distribution voltage – fine-wire fuse 5 x 20 mm, 20A, 250VAC, slow.
• At 115V distribution voltage- fine-wire fuse 5 x 20 mm, 40A, 120 (250)VAC, slow. At 115V distribution volt-
age the voltage selector will furthermore be switched to 115V, after opening the cover.
• Press the fuse holder back into the unit. Make sure that the fuse holder is positioned correctly in the unit.

Disposal

When the unit can no longer be used and repairs are no longer possible, dispose of it in accordance with
current legal regulations.

Maintenance and Care

Please observe the safety instructions before you start cleaning the unit. The product should only be
cleaned with a slightly damp cloth or a brush. Never use aggressive cleansing agents or solvents since this
might damage the product.

Connection Elements and Controls

Channel unit
(1) MIC jack
Symmetrical (balanced) XLR jack to connect a microphone.
Connect condenser microphone to phantom power only when it is switched off. If no phantom pow-
er is needed for the operation of the microphone, then switch it off before connection. Microphones
or devices which do not need phantom power can be damaged by it (see master unit 28)
(2) Line connector
6.3mm jack socket to connect a signal source with the line-level. Both, symmetrical (balanced) as well as
unsymmetrical (unbalanced) signal sources can be connected.
Note: only the MIC or the Line jack of a channel can be assigned. Both inputs of a channel must not
be assigned at the same time.
(3) Low-cut filter switch
This switch filters out all undesired signals with an edge steepness of 18 dB per octave, below 75 Hz.
(4) Gain adjuster
To set the input sensitivity at between 10 dB to 60 dB when using the MIC jack and of –40 dB to +10 dB
when using the LINE jack. The different high signals of the individual channels can thus be pre-amplified
and adjusted to each other.
