Note

● After completion of installation, give these
instructions to the owner for safekeeping.
Important notes
● Electrical connection and repairs may only
be carried out by suitably qualified
personnel.
● The time delay switch / interval switch may
only be operated at the rated voltage
specified on the rating plate.
● Suitable for continuous operation.
● Ambient temperature 25°C, occasional
fluctuations in the range from 0°C to 55°C
are allowed.
● By additionally connecting a VDE-approved
X2 capacitor (330 nF / 250 V~) between
WH (white) and BU (blue) it is possible
when using a light switch with integrated
pilot lamp to avoid the pilot lamp lighting up
in the off position (only necessary if no
room lighting is connected).
● The device is designed in accordance with
VDE safety requirements within the scope
of the Appliance Safety Act and the valid
stipulations of the EC directives.
Functional characteristics
Controls the start time delay and run-on of
fans and other units independently of the fan
or unit duty cycle and the ambient tempera-
ture.
Additional function of the VZl 10
Requirement-triggered interval control, i.e.
after the fan is switched off the set interval
period begins. If the fan is not switched on by
the user during this period, the interval control
switches the fan on automatically after the set
interval. The duty cycle corresponds to the
run-on time of ten minutes.
Application
For fan run-on in WCs, bathrooms, kitchens,
workrooms and cellars, slide and film
projectors etc.
Mounting
All models fit into standard 40 mm deep flush-
type boxes or behind the switch of any
optional range.
All electronic timers and interval switches are
also suitable for unit mounting.

VZ 6
Fixed start delay set at 50 s. Run-on fixed at
6 minutes.
VZ 12
Fixed start delay set at 50 s. Run-on fixed at
12 minutes.
VZ 24 C
Start delay can be set between 0 and 150 s
with increments of 10 s (right-hand setting
screw Tv). The factory setting is the medium
setting.
Run-on adjustable from 1.5 to 24 min with
increments of 1.5 min (left-hand setting screw
Tn). The factory setting is the medium setting.
VZI 10
Fixed start delay set at 50 s. Run-on fixed at
10 mins. Interval adjustable from 0 to 15 hours
with increments of 1 hour (setting screw Ti).
The factory setting is the medium setting.
If an interval of 0 hours is set (setting screw
Ti turned to the extreme left-hand setting), the
interval function is switched off.
The tolerance for all specified times is:
