User Instructions Ergon BH200 and BH300 drink systems
The advantages of a drink system
The advantage of the Ergon drink system is that it allows you to simply carry more liquid than you can with bottles. The result is you
hydrate better than you would using a bottle. Our systems allow up to 70fl oz (2 litres) for the BH200 or 100fl oz (3 litres) for the
BH300, to be easily carried. Use is also easier than with a bottle and using the drinking tube, you can also drink in situations where
you would normally suffer using a bottle where for example, you cannot use your hands.
The hydration reservoir is made out of an extremely durable Polyurethane (tested by the FDA – the American Food and Drug
Administration). By simply turning the reservoir inside out it can be properly cleaned, a clear hygiene advantage compared to offer
reservoirs. Regularly cleaning will extend its life. The reservoirs hygiene advantages also mean that sugary drinks can be safely
carried, something which would be a concern with other reservoirs because of potential mould build up.
A further advantage of the Ergon drink system is its extra long tube, which is ideal for Ergon backpacks. The tube uses a Plug&Play
system, and detaches easily from the reservoir. Both the bite valve and the Plug&Play valve feature a drip proof seal, which prevents
leaks.
Important Information
Before the first use, it is recommended that you wash your pack
out using warm water.
To fill.
We recommend that you always remove your reservoir from the
backpack to fill it. The Plug&Play system allows the tube to be
easily removed from the reservoir. The Plug&Play valve closes
automatically.
The reservoir can carry up to 70fl oz (2 litres) for the BH200 or up
to 100fl oz (3 litres) for the BH300. The large opening makes it
very easy to fill. Simply remove the sliding seal and fill up to the
'max' mark. Fold the top over and slide the seal back on until it
clicks. Dry the outside of the reservoir before placing it inside the
backpack.
The drinking tube can be mounted on the shoulder straps
ensuring that the bite valve is close your mouth. When not in
use, you can also secure the bite valve to the shoulder straps.
To drink, place the bite valve in your mouth and bite lightly on the
end of it. By lightly sucking, liquid will be delivered to your
mouth. The flow can be regulated using by pulling or pushing
the valve in or out, or, to completely shut off the system, the
valve should be pushed right in.
Press the release button on the Plug&Play val-
ve to remove the tube.
Slide the seal to the side to open the reservoir.
