Mounting

ATTENTION!
Installation of the heating element and initial start-up must only be
performed by qualified personnel! Improper installation will void any
warranty claims!
ATTENTION!
In order to guarantee fault-free functioning of the heat exchanger, the
user must also comply with the (connection) requirements of the local
utility companies and follow the installation and operating instructions in
addition to the valid national regulations.
Drain the tank before installing the finned tube heat
exchanger.
The black plastic cover in the lower front area of the tank
must be removed.
Loosen the screws around the outer edge of the blind flange
plate found below the plastic cover and remove it with the
seal.
Any sealing residue must be cleaned off the tank sealing
surface.
The finned tube heat exchanger which is already mounted to
a flange plate must be installed in the lower neck flange of
the tank.
ATTENTION!
Make sure that the solar heat exchanger is installed in the correct
position!
To prevent the heat exchanger from bending, the support or
guide tube must be
independently of the markings for flow and return!
Guide tube:
The preassembled installation kit is installed in the tank in
place of the removed blind flange plate. The enclosed new
seal must be used.
It is absolutely mandatory that all hexagonal bolts are
carefully re-tightened following the heat-up period.

Cleaning

With very hard water and operation of the tank at temperatures
above 65°C, decalcification equipment must be installed.
If no decalcification equipment is installed, regular cleaning of the
tank (including the finned tube heat exchanger) is mandatory, as
lime deposits on the fins significantly reduce the heat transfer
capacity.
A flushing device, which must be connected to the flow and
return connections of the solar heat exchanger, can be used to
remove deposits from inside the pipe with diluted de-scaling fluid.
Thoroughly rinse the heat exchanger with water after it has been
cleaned.
