Purpose
With the installation of a finned tube heat exchanger, the tank
can (additionally) be heated indirectly by retrofitting this heat
exchanger into the existing blind flange.
A possible heating medium is the heat carrier fluid from a solar
energy system.
The heating circuit medium (frost-proof heat transfer medium)
flows from the solar energy system through the finned tube via
the loading pump. Free convection occurs on the finned outer
side of the tube.
The solar finned tube heat exchanger is normally installed
horizontally in the lower flange of the tank (buffer tank) and is
completely immersed in the water to be heated.

Description
The solar heat exchanger is a spiral-shaped, coiled heat
exchanger consisting of a seamless rolled finned copper pipe
with soldered screw connections. The tube interior wall is
chemically tinned. For installation, the heat exchanger comes
with complete screw connections and is mounted to a flange
plate in the factory.
The matte black plastic cover (included in the scope of supply of
the combo tank) must be installed on the flange plate of the solar
heat exchanger to prevent heat loss.

Operating range
Around the heat exchangers: Boiler water
In the heat exchanger: Water or frost-proof heat transfer medium
Permissible internal operating pressure: 10 bar to a maximum of
20 bar
Permissible operating temperature: 120°C
(operating temperatures of 65°C should not be exceeded if the
water is very hard).
