MBNLED DMX RDM SPLITTER 4
If a DMX signal is received at a DMX input, the INPUT button LED will blink fast RED
and the device sends it immediately to the DMX output.
The DMX signal will be not regenerated by the device. The input signal is electrical
isolated and boosted to the output.
It is useful in non RDM systems where the cable lengths are not extremely long (less
than about 100 m). It helps to filter electrical noises and helps to improve lower
quality cables.

DMX RENEW

Press 1 of the 4 output buttons until its no LED is lit. Now the device is in DMX
RENEW mode.
If a DMX signal is received at a DMX input, the INPUT button LED will blink RED fast
and the device sends it immediately to the DMX output.
The DMX signal will be regenerated by the device via built in microcontroller. The
input signal is electrical isolated and boosted to output.
It is useful in non RDM system where the cable lengths are extremely long (more 100
m). It helps to filter electrical noises and helps to improve lower quality cables, and
due to signal regeneration the signal form will be also perfect.

DMX/RDM

Press 1 of the 4 output buttons until its GREEN LED will be lit. Now the device is in
DMX RDM mode.
The DMX RDM SPLITTER can now be operated in a RDM compatible system. If the
incoming signal not a normal DMX data packet (with 0 start code) but an RDM
packet, the Splitter can process it also and will send it to its output. If the incoming
RDM packet is a response of a device, than the Splitter will send the packet to the
output and changes the communication direction. So it will be able to send back the
answer from the device to the controller.
If a RDM packet is received, the GREEN input LED blinks to indicate, that RDM data
is currently sent.

Connection notes

The DMX standard allows to connect 32 devices in one chain, and the cable length is
limited to 100 m. Practice however shows that after 20 devices and 80 m cable it is
recommended to boost the DMX signal.
