Thank you for selecting the M 58 dynamic microphone. Please
take some time to read carefully through this product information
before setting up the equipment.
Applications
The M 58 has been developed especially for interviewing
applications. Therefore, its frequency response has been adapted to
the best intelligibility of speech. In front of cameras the microphone
can be used quite inconspicuously due to its slim design and non-
glare surface.
Connection
The M 58 is equipped with a 3-pin XLR plug. You can connect
it to any microphone input. For available cables refer to the section
"Optional Accessories".

Setting up and Use

• An elastic suspension of the system eliminates unwanted
handling noise .
• The special shape of the M 58 with a handy centre of gravity
allows to use the microphone without fatigue in long lasting
interviews.
• For outdoor applications use the WS 58 wind screen.

Maintenance

Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning the surface. If necessary,
you can use a gentle cleansing agent (such as washing-up liquid).
Take care not to allow any water to enter the transducer elements
and do not use any solvent agents.
Service
Servicing must be carried out by qualified service personnel
only. Dismantling the microphone yourself will render the guarantee
null and void.
