Safety instructions

• Only use Melitta MyCup coffee pads.
• Certain parts of the appliance become hot when it is switched on, so avoid touching them
• Never immerse the appliance or the mains cable in water
• Always keep appliance out of the reach of children
• Always pull the plug out of the socket prior to longer absences
• Only use fresh, cold water – never hot water – to fill the water tank
• Do not open the brewing chamber during the coffee brewing process
• To avoid risks, cord replacements and any other repairs may only be carried out by authorised Melitta customer
service engineers or a person of similar qualification

In addition to the statutory guarantee provisions, we guarantee this appliance subject to the following terms:
1. The appliance is guaranteed for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase. The guarantee is only valid if
the purchase date is confirmed by the dealer's stamp and signature or on presentation of the receipt.
2. We will rectify any defects resulting from faulty material or workmanship and will accordingly repair or replace
the appliance or any defective parts thereof free of charge during the guarantee period. Guarantee claims do not
extend the period of guarantee. Any parts that are removed will become the property of the manufacturer. The
customer will not be invoiced for freight, packaging or other incidental costs resulting from a claim under guarantee.
3. Defects caused by improper usage (such as incorrect current or voltage) or maintenance, or those resulting from
normal wear and tear, are not covered by this guarantee. The guarantee does not cover claims resulting from
limescale build-up. (Regular descaling - see instructions given in user's manual - is necessary to keep the appliance
in perfect working order.) Nor does the guarantee cover defects that have only a negligible effect on the value
or operation of the appliance.
4. The guarantee becomes void if repairs are carried out by third parties who are not authorised by the manufacturer
or if any spare parts other than original ones are employed.
5. This guarantee is only valid in the country of purchase. In the event of a guarantee claim, please send the appliance
• preferably in the original box,
• together with the completed guarantee card and the receipt as well as
• a description of the fault to the Melitta Customer Service Centre or another authorised Service Centre or dealer.
6. All other claims, particularly claims for compensation, including consequential damage, are ruled out unless the
manufacturer can be held liable under binding law. The consumer's guarantee rights under the terms of the sales
contract/legal relationship with the seller are not affected by this guarantee.
