Descaling the appliance

The appliance must be desca-
led regularly even if you are
using a water filter.
If the rinsing button blinks red during
drinks preparation, descaling is requi-
red. If you cancel the descaling pro-
cess, the appliance will automatically
return to descaling mode next time you
switch it on.
NOTE
Only use descaling agents
which are suitable for K-fee® –
your system capsule machi-
nes. For further information

SAFETY INFORMATION
Before using the descaling
agent, read the instruction
manual through thoroughly and follow
the warning information.
PROHIBITED
Do not drink the descaling
agent – health hazard.
HEALTH HAZARD
Remove the water filter
before the descaling process.

Open and close the lever so that you

eject any capsule which might have been
inserted. Now switch the appliance off by
pressing the ON/OFF button and allow it
to cool down (approx. 5 minutes).

Remove the drip tray, used capsule

container and water tank and then emp-
ty them. Then reinsert the used capsule
container.

If you are using a water filter, please

remove it from the water tank.
