Foreword
This operating manual describes the operation and maintenance of the cartridge gun PowerLine II. The manual must be
kept safe and accessible by the user. Persons who operate this equipment must have read and understood this manual.
If the operating manual is not complied with, safe and economical operation of the equipment cannot be assured.
Non-compliance also voids any claims under warranty or liability. Therefore, the instructions in this manual must al-
ways be followed.
Intended purpose
The cartridge gun PowerLine II is an apparatus powered by compressed air for use with 310 ml cartridges. It was de-
signed specifically for use with high-viscosity materials and 2-component cartridges with static mixers. The gun is in-
tended solely for dispensing the materials from the cartridge. Corresponding to this usage, the cartridge gun is pressure
equipment according to pressure equipment directive 97/23/EG. It was designed, manufactured and tested according to
the conformity assessment procedure of Article 3, Paragraph 3 of this directive.
Construction of the equipment
The equipment consists of the compressed air supply unit and the dispenser unit. The compressed air supply unit with
pin serves to connect the external compressed air supply and contains a pressure control valve, manometer and trigger
valve. The dispenser is based on the patented twin-piston principle with cartridge burst protection and consists of the
working cylinder with pneumatic piston (Ø 70 mm), a cartridge cylinder (Ø 51 mm) for accepting the cartridge and the
sealing washer.

Method of operation
The cartridge is inserted into the cartridge cylinder and secured with the retainer nut. The compressed air connected to
the connector plug is reduced to the working pressure set on the pressure regulator. By operating the trigger, pressure is
applied to the working area. The working piston and the cartridge piston now create an increased expulsion pressure in
the cartridge. The conversion ratio inlet pressure:expulsion pressure is about 3:1. The expulsion pressure in the car-
tridge is displayed on the manometer.
