Installation

On the side of the outlet a programmable electric switch
can be found, which is compatible with the TTL inlets of
the AZURA and Smartline product lines.

Circuit Variants

The air sensor is calibrated ex-works and is operated
directly at the analogue inputs of pumps and valve
drives. In pumps, which are not equipped with a low-
pressure gradient, it is preferably mounted in front of or
next to the pump head. In systems with several sensors,
this makes it easier to determine which sensor is oper-
ated on which pump.
In principal, it is possible to achieve the program-con-
trolled processing of the air sensor signal in HPLC, but
for this a connector variant is needed, which is different
from the one described in this supplement.
On most pumps, the connection is realized at the 24 V
output of the device. If such a connector is part of the
system, no separate power supply plug is necessary.

Air Sensor without Valve

Immediate shut-down of a pump if air bubbles are
being recognized.

The sensor is connected to the power supply. +24 V,
brown on PIN5; blue (ground) on PIN6.

The signaling cable (bw) is connected to the ERROR
IN inlet of the pump: PIN6 of the pin header.
