the oil level (see Chapter „Changing the oil and che-
cking the oil level (before using the equipment)").
Preparing the equipment for long-term storage
m Warning: Do not empty the petrol tank in enclosed
areas, near fire or when smoking. Petrol fumes can
cause explosions and fire.
• Empty the petrol tank using a petrol suction pump.
• Petrol and oil have to be disposed off according to
the regulations. Please inform yourself, where a sui-
table collection point is near you.
• Start the engine and run it until the tank and fuel line
are completely empty and the engine stalls.
• Please change the oil after an operation time of 20,
respectively 50 hours. For this, remove the old oil
from the warm engine and refill with new oil.
• Remove spark plug (Fig. M / Pos. M1). Fill about 20
ml of oil into the cylinder using an oil can. Pull the
pull cord slowly, so that the oil protects the cylinder
from the inside. Screw the spark plug back in.
• Clean the entire appliance to protect the paint.
• Store the appliance in a well ventilated area.
Preparing the equipment for transport
• Empty the petrol tank using a petrol suction pump.
• Always let the engine run until it has used up the re-
mainder of petrol in the tank.
• Empty the engine oil from the warm engine.
• Remove the spark plug boot (Fig. L) from the spark
plug.
• Secure the equipment, e.g. with straps, against shif-
ting.

10. Disposal and recycling

The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it
from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in this
packaging can be reused or recycled. The equipment
and its accessories are made of various types of mate-
rial, such as metal and plastic. Defective components
must be disposed of as special waste. Ask your dealer
or your local council.
