Descripción
El fonendoscopio electrónico STE3 sirve para localizar fácilmente y a bajo costo la fuente de
cualquier ruido excesivo de cojinetes y máquina. Es un aparato idóneo y fácil de usar para
sonidos de origen mecánico en todo tipo de aplicaciones. La energía de salida se puede
alimentar además a un aparato de grabación auditiva para conservar los datos, bien para su
análisis posterior o como referencia para futura comparación.
Uso
El fonendoscopio se puede usar para localizar la fuente de un ruido concreto. Presione la
sonda contra el armazón de la máquina y ajuste el volumen hasta que el ruido resulte apenas
audible. Moviendo la sonda a una nueva posición será fácil decidir por la amplitud de sonido
si la sonda está ahora más lejos o más cerca de la fuente del ruido.
Advertencia
Mantenga la sonda y la pieza auricular bien alejadas de cualquier objeto giratorio ¡y de todo lo
demás!
Instrucciones
Enrosque la sonda necesaria en el casquillo roscado en la parte anterior del instrumento.
Enchufe los auriculares en la toma situada en la base del instrumento. Póngase los
auriculares y ajústelos para que le resulten cómodos. Empuje la sonda contra el armazón del
instrumento. Encienda el instrumento...
Control on-off (encendido-apagado)
Al pulsar el botón de on/off, la unidad se encenderá o pagará según convenga. Observe que
la unidad se apagará automáticamente si el control del volumen no ha cambiado durante un
período de 2 minutos.
Aumente el control del volumen a un nivel cómodo.
Control del volumen
Pulsando la flecha ascendente se aumenta el volumen, pulsando la descendente se reduce
el volumen. Los tres LED destellarán uno tras otro, indicando que el volumen aumenta o
disminuye, según proceda. Si se mantiene el botón pulsado más de medio segundo, la unidad
pasará a modo automático, donde el volumen seguirá aumentando o disminuyendo hasta que
se suelte el botón o se alcance el máximo/mínimo.
Indicación del volumen
El control del volumen tiene 32 fases discretas que se dividen en tres bandas con fines de
indicación en los LED.
Indicación de que la pila se está descargando
Cuando la pila empiece a descargarse, el LED inferior destellará continuamente. La unidad
seguirá funcionando pero a volúmenes reducidos.
Rendimiento de la cinta
A la izquierda del instrumento hay una toma de clavija de 3,5mm normal para estéreo para la
salida con fines de grabación.

The STE3 electronic stethoscope is designed to help locate the source of excess
bearing and machine noise easily at low cost. It is an ideal easy to use listening device
for mechanical generated noise in all types of applications.
The output can also be fed into an audio tape recorder to store the data for either further

Use
The stethoscope can be used to locate the source of a particular sound. Press the probe
against the body of the machine and adjust the volume until the sound is just audible.
When the probe is moved to a new position it is easy to decide by the amplitude of the
sound whether the source is now further away from or closer to the source of the noise.
Warning
Keep both the probe and the earphone lead well clear of any rotating objects, along with
everything else!
Instructions
Screw the required probe into the threaded bush at the front of the instrument. Plug
the headphones into the socket at the base of the instrument. Place headphones over
ears, and adjust to fit comfortably Press the probe against the body of the machine. And
switch on instrument...
On/Off Control
Pressing the on/off button will toggle the unit on/off as appropriate. Note the unit will
automatically shut down if the volume control has not altered for a period of 2 minutes.
Increase the volume control to a comfortable level.
Volume Control
Pressing the up arrow will increase the volume, pressing the down arrow will decrease
the volume. The three LEDs will flash in turn indicating an increasing or decreasing
volume, as appropriate. Keeping a button pressed for more than about half a second will
switch the unit into auto mode, here the volume will keep increasing or decreasing until
the button is released or maximum/minimum is reached.
Volume Indication
The volume control has 32 discrete steps, this is divided into three bands for indication
purposes on the LEDs.
Battery Low Indication
Once the battery starts to get low the lowest LED will flash continuously. The unit will
continue to operate but at reduced volume levels.
Tape Output
A standard stereo 3.5mm jack socket is located on the left side of the instrument to
provide an output for recording purposes.
