Motor Section
MALFUNCTION
Motor does not run
Motor runs very slowly
Motor section gets warm
Motor vibrates

CAUSE
No power
Faulty cable
Faulty switch or motor
Carbon brushes worn down
Rotor or stator are defective
Air filter is blocked; air can no
longer circulate

Clipping tension too high
Faulty bearings (ingress of
cleaning fluid)
Rotor runs untrue (caused by
sharp knock)
Bearings are worn out
RECTIFICATION
Check lead and fuse
Have it checked and changed
by service centre
Have it repaired by service centre
Have carbon brushes replaced
by service centre
Have rotor and/or stator
replaced
Remove air filter and clean
with brush or replace filter
Do not tighten pressure regu-
lating screw so much (Illustra-
tion 6). If the blades still do not
cut, they should be resharpe-
ned or replaced
Have bearings replaced
Have rotor replaced
Have bearings replaced
