3. OPERATING DETERMINATIONS

The OMNITRONIC TS-8 a professional audio interface for converting line signals. The TS-8 was
designed for indoor use only and operates in passive mode, i.e. it does not require any operating voltage.
Never put any liquids on the device or close to it. Should any liquid enter the device nevertheless, disconnect
from mains immediately and remove the battery. Please let the device be checked by a qualified service
technician before you operate it again. Any damages caused by liquids having entered the device are not
subject to warranty!
Do not shake the device. Avoid brute force when operating the device.
When choosing the installation-spot, please make sure that the device is not exposed to extreme heat,
moisture or dust. There should not be any cables lying around. You endanger your own and the safety of
others!
Do not operate the device in extremely hot (more than 35° C) or extremely cold (less than 5° C)
surroundings. Keep away from direct insulation (particularly in cars) and heaters.
Operate the device only after having familiarized with its functions. Do not permit operation by persons not
qualified for operating the device. Most damages are the result of unprofessional operation!
Never use solvents or aggressive detergents in order to clean the device! Rather use a soft and damp cloth.
Please use the original packaging if the device is to be transported.
Please consider that unauthorized modifications on the device are forbidden due to safety reasons!
If this device will be operated in any way different to the one described in this manual, the product may suffer
damages and the guarantee becomes void. Furthermore, any other operation may lead to dangers like short-
circuit, burns, electric shock, etc.

4. DESCRIPTION

4.1 Features

8-Channel Line Splitter
The OMNITRONIC TS-8 is a passive audio interface for line signals that uses eight high-performance
audio transformers to separate input and output signal grounds, thereby isolating two systems and reduching
hum and ground-loop noise. The low-distortion audio transformers have an extremely flat and wide
frequency response and handle high signal levels. This gives the TS-8 a very clean and neutral sound with
a wide variety of signal sources. The transformers are designed for use with impedances from 600 Ohm to
100 kOhm.
The TS-8 offers total connection versatility. All inputs and outputs feature paralleled XLR, 6.3 mm and RCA
connectors. And for more flexibility in cabling your system, two reversible mounting brackets are included in
the delivery. So you can have either the 6.3 mm jacks and the RCA jacks on the front or the XLR jacks on
the front.
