2. Beschreibung Die neuen optischen Nodes mit integriertem 65-MHz-Rückkanal (ON 1065) und ohne Rückkanal (ON 1000) vereinen die erfolgreichen Technologien eines Polytron HF-Verstärkers mit optischen Komponenten. Der Zwei-Wege Node ON 1065 ermöglicht die Übertragung sowohl von HF-Signalen als auch von High- Speed Datenservices über Hybrid Fiber/Koax-Netzwerke.
4.1 Blockschaltbild ON 1000 Wie in der Grafik ersichtlich, wird das ankommende optische Signal einer optischen Empfängerdiode zugeführt. In ein HF-Signal gewandelt, wird es verstärkt und durchläuft anschließend einen Pegelsteller mit nachfolgendem Entzerrer. Danach wird das Signal verstärkt und durch den Diplex-HF-Filter zum RF-Ausgang geführt.
7. Installation Die Installation und Verwendung des optischen Empfängers schließt die folgenden Schritte ein: 1) Der optische Empfänger muss zur effektiven Wärmeableitung senkrecht an der Wand befestigt werden. 2) Es ist ein optischer Eingangspegel zwischen -6 und +2 dBm erforderlich. Wird dieser Eingangspegel überschritten kann dies zu Verzerrungen des Signals oder Defekt des Gerätes führen.

4.1 Schematic Diagram ON 1000 Below diagram shows, that the incoming optical signal is led to an active optical receiver module. Transformed into a RF-signal it is amplified and goes through an attenuator with following equalizer. Afterwards the signal is amplified and led through the diplex RF-filter to the output.

7. Installation The Installation and acceptance of optical receiver include the following steps: The optical receiver has to be mounted vertically on the wall for effective heat dissipation. The optical input between -6 and +2 dBm is recommended. If the optical input level is higher, then the signal could be distorted or the unit damaged.
