Start-Up of the Device
• Choose a suitable location for the device. Suitable would
be a dry, level, non­slip surface.
• Sensitive surfaces may be protected by plastic foil.
Remove this foil.
• Make sure the device is vented sufficiently!
• If necessary, screw the flexible antenna onto the correct
connection.
Power Supply (Adaptor)
1. Make sure the grid voltage corresponds to the figures on
the rating plate.
2. Flap the rubber cover down.
3. Plug the power supply unit into a properly installed protec­
tive contact socket.
4. Connect the device with the plug connector by inserting
its plug into the "DC 9 V" jack of the device.
CAUTION:
• Only use the supplied power adaptor for this device. Do
not use for other devices.
• Only use power adaptor with 9 V (

NOTE:
Disconnect from mains power supply during longer periods
of non­use.
Charge the Installed Battery
Before you can operate the unit with the installed battery, you
must first charge it.
1. Open the rubber cover.
2. Connect the unit to a socket with the mains adapter. The
indicator light below the DC socket lights up red and the
battery is charged.
When the battery is fully charged, the indicator light goes out.
Keep the cover closed when not in use.
CAUTION:
Never leave the unit unattended during charging.

NOTE:
• The duration of the charging process depends on the
state of charge of the battery.
• When the unit is out of use for long periods of time,
charge the battery at least every 6 to 12 weeks. The
battery also constantly discharges when the unit is
switched off.
• If the battery is almost empty, the unit will switch off. The
battery must then be charged as described above.
Turning the Device On / Off
Press the
