3 Assembly

3.1 Hydraulic integration of the flow meter

NOTE
The sensors are only installed after the hydraulic integration has been
completed.
ATTENTION!
Please observe the flow direction of the plastic tube (VFS measuring
tube). The flow direction is indicated by an arrow on the outside of the
plastic pipe.
ATTENTION!
All components of the DFM 1988 must be installed in a dry and frost-free
location. Ensure that no condensation forms on the electronics module.
The VFS measuring tube must be mounted close to the cold
water inlet of the cylinder. The domestic hot water outlet sensor

(R3.2) must be mounted close to the domestic hot water cylinder
and adequately insulated.
Please observe the direction of flow when installing the plastic
pipe (VFS measuring tube). The flow direction is indicated by an
arrow on the outside of the pipe.
The screw connections included in the scope of supply enable
simple integration into the domestic hot water circuit, and can be
used.
ATTENTION!
The electronics module must be mounted on a wall in the immediate
vicinity. The sensor lines are approx. 1.2 m long and must not be
extended.
