Disposal of electrical devices
This device is subject to European Directive 2012/19/EU on
waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) which states
that used household electrical equipment is not to be disposed
of as unsorted municipal waste. This type of used equipment
must be sorted and collected separately from other household
waste in order to increase the proportion of recovered equipment and their
constituent materials for recycling. The aim here is to reduce any negative
effects on human health and the environment. The symbol showing a
crossed out wheelie bin is displayed on all equipment as a reminder that
these items must be disposed of separately. The consumer should contact
the local bodies responsible for the collection of waste (e.g. authorised
waste collection companies or local authority waste disposal facilities) or
their representatives to find out how their equipment should be disposed of
properly.
