Connection the colour camera
Connect the video adapter connector (5) with the video cinch input of the surveillance monitor or TV set. If your
appliance only has a scart input (21-pin socket) use a cinch-scart-adapter. Connect the audio connectors (6)
with the cinch-audio-input of the surveillance monitor, the TV set or the cinch-scart-adapter. The low-voltage
plug of the adapter can now be connected to the power supply socket (7) and the adapter can be plugged into a
safety socket.
Now switch on the surveillance monitor or the TV set and select the AV input as video source. If connection and
adjustment are correct you can now see the image of the colour camera and fix a suitable site for the
installation.
For the final installation of the colour camera the adapter has to be separated again from the 230 V mains.
Installing the Colour Camera
If required the camera can be installed outdoors at a place shielded from the weather. Avoid direct sunlight on
the camera. The camera must not be exposed neither to rain nor to splashing water.
The adapter of the color camera is designed for indoor use only. Necessary cable entries have to be created if
required.
Starting the System
•
Replug the adapter of the colour camera into the socket.
•
Switch on the surveillance monitor.
•
Select at the surveillance monitor the input where the receiver of the surveillance set ahs been connected.
•
Optimize the adjustment of the colour camera.
•
Fix the locking screws at the camera support with the help of a screwdriver.
If you intend not to use the system for a longer period always unplug the adapters from the socket.
Correcting malfunctions
No image and no sound
•
The colour camera is not supplied with power. Perhaps the adapter has not been connected correctly.
•
The low-voltage connectors are not connected correctly.
•
Audio / Video sockets wrongly connected.
Flickering Image – Strong spot or floodlight within the capturing range of the camera.
Normal sound, Image dark or too bright
•
Capturing range of the camera not lighted adequately.
•
Surveillance monitor adjusted incorrectly (brightness and contrast to be re-adjusted).
•
Strong spot or floodlight within the capturing range of the camera.
Image reproduced too narrow on the surveillance monitor or the sound is weak/distorted – Surveillance
monitor adjusted incorrectly (width of range).
Image is passing through – Surveillance monitor adjusted incorrectly (vertical hold control).
