Make the settings as described below.
Remember to switch off the microphone
after use to prevent discharge of the bat-
teries.
3.3 Setting the transmission channel
First set a free transmission channel on
the receiver (see instruction manual of
the receiver). Then set the wireless mi-
crophone to the same channel:
Automatic setting
1) Point the IR sensor (2) of the wireless
microphone towards the IR window
of the receiver. The distance must not
exceed 1 m. Make sure that there are
no obstacles between the IR sensor
and the IR window.
2) Briefly press the button SYNC on the
receiver. The display backlight of the
wireless microphone is activated; the
wireless microphone and the receiver
are set to the same channel.
Manual setting
Set the wireless microphone and the-
receiver to the same channel:
1) Press the button SET (7) once; the
channel number "CH" will start flash-
ing.
2) Set the channel with the button  or
. The channel setting will be saved
as soon as the number stops flashing.
Note: If the channel number stops flashing
before the setting has been made, press the
button SET again.
3.4 Setting the transmission power
Use the switch HI / LO (5) to set the trans-
mission power of the wireless micro-
phone:
HI (high) = high transmission power for a
long range, but shorter battery life
LO (low) = low transmission power for a
long battery life, but shorter range
3.5 Setting the microphone sensitivity
1) Switch on the audio unit (e. g. mixer,
amplifier) connected to the receiver.
Speak / sing into the microphone and
set the audio system to such a volume
that the subsequent setting can be
heard well.
2) Press the button SET (7) twice; the
numerals "VOL" will start flashing.
3) While the numerals keep flashing
(5 seconds after a button was pressed),
set the microphone sensitivity with
the button  or  (6). Four options
are available: 00 dB, 10 dB, 20 dB,
30 dB.
Note: If the numerals stop flashing before
the setting has been made, press the button
SET twice again.
If the volume of the microphone
signal is too high or if the signal is
distorted, reduce the sensitivity. If
the volume of the signal is too low,
however, a poor signal-to-noise ratio
results. In this case, increase the sensi-
tivity accordingly.
4) The setting will be saved as soon as
the numerals stop flashing.
