9. Commissioning

To take the MX-0103USB into operation, connect the USB connection to the enclosed cable and plug
this into the USB port of your computer or the enclosed USB transformer connection, which can then be
plugged into a mains outlet.
Now push the power button at the rear of your device.
When the green "PWR-LED" dot lights up, you have taken the device into operation successfully.
First, ensure that all volume controllers (dial switches) are turned all the way to the left; otherwise, the
amplification of interferences when switching on may cause damage to your device.
Complete your audio setup (connection of the signal sources and outputs) BEFORE switching on the device,
since plugging in/out in current operation may cause damage.

a) Installation of the driver software

Both under Mac and Windows
installed after connecting and switching on the device.
For this, ensure that the computer is connected to the internet.
For recordings with the sound card, it is recommended to use external recording software such as Audac-
ity.

b) Usage options

The MX-0103USB has many usage options.
Some are:
• Karaoke using a microphone, a computer or a CD player:
- For this, connect your microphone to connection (1) and ensure that the button for "Routing" of the
headphones output is set to "Main-Mix".
- If you are still using a CD player, connect it to the "Tape" input via "cinch".
- The sound track that comes either from the CD player or from the computer now can now be adjusted
with the controllers for channel 2.
- The singing track is controlled on channel 1.
- Use your computer or the pre-listening output to record of the karaoke.
• Live recording from several sound sources:
- To record several sound sources, connect the sources to the mixer.
- This may be a microphone (1) or another source with XLR plug. Connect the outer sound source to
channel 2 via cinch.
- Now you can either record the mixed signal sources (channels 1&2) with an external recorder via the
main output (16) or comfortably save them into the "Main-Mix" on your computer.
