Frontal
1 Microphone input channel 1
This "XLR"/"jack plug" input can be used as signal source for channel 1.
Connect your microphone here.
2 Volume controller input 1
Use this controller to adjust the level for the pre-amplifier of channel 1.
Set this controller to the minimum when commissioning to avoid damage to the device.
3 Depths
Use these sliders to set the depths of the equalizer for channels 1&2.
The setting influences the sound of channels 1&2 and can be used for effects in the sound of channels
1&2. This amplifies/weakens the low frequencies of the respective channel.
4 Heights
Use these sliders to set the heights of the equalizer for channels 1&2.
This amplifies/weakens the high frequencies of the respective channel.
5 Panorama
These sliders relocate the panorama effect from the left (upper position) to the right (lower position).
The middle position leads to the effect being switched off and the sound distribution remaining bal-
anced. (Same volume on the left and right.)
When the panorama is misadjusted, i.e. not in the middle position, the right or left channel is amplified
or weakened, which leads to better spatial differentiation of the respective channel.
6 Overmodulation LED input 1
The overmodulation LED of channel 1 lights up when the volume (level of the signal at channel 1 ex-
ceeds the permitted maximum limit.
To avoid distortions, turn the volume controller (2) of channel 1 back.
Always avoid lighting up of this LED by weakening the amplification in the signal flow (i.e. also in any
amplifiers upstream), since this may considerably reduce recording sound quality.
7 Volume controller inputs 1&2
Use these two controllers to adjust the output volume of channels 1&2.
This controller controls the output volume of the respective channel, which must be corrected particu-
larly if overmodulating (see (9) ).
8 Main volume controller
Use this dial switch to adjust the output volume of all channels except for the monitor output.
9 Overmodulation LED main output
The two LEDs show overmodulation on the left and right channels of the main output.
Use the panorama effect (5) and/or the respective volume controllers (7)&(8) to avoid this, since it may
reduce the quality of our recording.
