The instrument's flow sensor is operating on a principle of heat
transfer by sensing the ∆T along a heated section of a capillary
tube. The ∆T is directly proportional to the gas mass flow. The
heat transfer function between gas mass flow and temperature
difference can be described by the following formula:

When using a flow controller a directly operated control valve is
integrated. It is a 'normally closed' solenoid valve. For adapting
the suitable kv-value the orifice of the valve is changeable. The
valve plunger is operated by the magnetic field of the coil.
During production the right orifice is mounted the suit the
referring kv-value.
The routinely used seals material is Viton and some media
require the use of EPDM or Kalrez
instrument's sealing material is shown on the name plate.
The compatibility of the material with your operating media may
be seen in suitable stability tables.
