IV. PERFORMING REPAIRS
Repairs & Troubleshooting
Detecting Air Loss
If the pet platform loses air pressure and this is not caused by low temperatures,
first check the product carefully for leaks.
Checking the valve
•
Always start the check at the valve, even though valve leaks are rare.
•
If a valve leak is detected, carefully tighten the valve using the supplied
spanner.
•
Mix soap and water in a spray bottle and spray the mixture around the valve.
•
If bubbles form, check the valve seat and base to ensure that the valve sleeve
is correctly and securely seated.
Repairing small holes
•
If the valve is OK, a small hole in the material may be the cause of the air
loss.
•
Small holes can be repaired easily and permanently.
•
Spray the inflated pet platform with soapy water until bubbles form.
•
Mark the leak clearly.
•
If no bubbles are visible, inflate the product to the maximum permissible
pressure and try to locate the hissing sound of the air.
•
Then use soapy water again to determine the exact location of the leak.
Carrying out the repair
•
Only use the repair kit supplied.
•
Follow the instructions included with the repair kit carefully to ensure a
permanent seal.
Notes
•
Do not use the product while it is leaking.
•
