Inputs

The WVC has the digital inputs 0 to 7 as well as the two analog inputs AI 0 and AI 1.
The following settings can be made for each digital input, but only once in total:
Open valve / single shot
The valve is open (spray and metering valve) as long as the input level is high (24V). A single signal
(pulse valve) is triggered with a positive edge or a single signal is triggered (pulse valve). In the case
of a single shot, the opening time of the single shot must also be set on the dashboard for this input.
Start sequence (positive side)
If the voltage level changes from 0V to 24V at the input, the dosing process is started.
On a rising edge (from 0 to 1), the valve is opened and the table of the current parameter set is fired.
Start sequence (negative side)
Behaves exactly the opposite to the previous setting. A reaction occurs when the voltage level
changes from 24V to 0V.
Table continuous shot
The dosing table is repeated as long as the level is High (24V). If the level is pulled to 0V, the
remaining shots of the current table are still completed. After that, the valve stops and is ready again
for the next shot.
Heating (on/off)
If the external switching on/off of the heating is activated in the current parameter set, this can be
switched on or off via the input.
Piston front end position or rear end position (metering valve, Advanced)
A metering piston query consisting of two sensors can be connected to a metering valve. This checks
the position of the piston. The two sensors detect two states of the magnet on the piston: the "metered"
and "home" positions.
The opening delay and closing delay must also be set for the "Front end position piston" input. The
opening delay determines how long the piston may elapse before reaching the "metered" end position
after the valve has been activated. The shutter delay determines the period of time for the piston may
elapse before it leaves the "metered" end position again after the valve has no longer been activated.
If one of these times is exceeded, the current dosage is considered to be faulty.
Note: Either only the sensor for the "metered" position or both sensors can be attached and evaluated.
It is not possible to monitor the "starting position" position alone.
Needle Lift Monitoring (Advanced)
The needle lift sensor is connected to this input. The opening and closing delay for the needle lift
sensor must also be set here. The opening delay determines how much time may elapse before the
needle lift sensor detects the needle in the "open" position after the valve has been activated. The
closing delay determines how much time may elapse before the needle lift sensor no longer detects
the needle after the valve is no longer activated. If one of these times is exceeded, the current dosage
is considered to be faulty.
Light Barrier (Pulse Valve, Advanced)
The light barrier is connected to this input.
The light barrier can be (de-)activated in each parameter set, regardless of whether an evaluation is
to take place or not. The delay from activation of the valve to "medium breaks through light barrier"
must also be defined. If this time is exceeded, the current dosage is considered to be faulty.
