 alkaline batteries must be used for 9V operation! (e.g. 170Ah or 120Ah)
 for 12V operation the device has total discharge protection and protects the battery against permanent damage
(device switches off at 11.4V)! The adapter cable (Item No. 44641) is recommended for connection.
If the LEDs should blink faster than 1x per second, the device must be switched off immediately and
inspected by a specialty technician before re-commissioning.
Commissioning
1. Open device [10]
2. Connect 9V – battery (make sure polarity is correct)
3. Close device [10]
4. Check the battery voltage:
by pressing the control knob [1] for approx. 1 second the current battery is displayed as a value, then the
display goes out again. (> 8.0 V)
5. Connect the fence system and earthing
6. Switch on the device by pressing and holding (for approx. 2 sec) the control knob [1] (confirmed by a tone,
the display switches from battery voltage to fence voltage). Then release the knob.
7. By turning the control knob anti-clockwise or clockwise, the desired output level can be set. As long as the
knob is turned the display changes from the fence voltage display to the display of the current output level.
8. The output levels are displayed successively as E1, E2, E3, E4 (Economy range) and as H1, H2, H3, H4 (High
range). With the 8 output levels the device can be manually adjusted to the fence system and type of animal!
