You bought the COMPIT Hi-Tech Charger TC 4 which
guarantees optimal use for your rechargeable batteries
and which complies to the actual technical requirements.
Description:
The TC 4 Charger can be used worldwide and can
indicate the status of your battery individually for each
battery compartment. So the TC 4 is one of only few
chargers in the market that stops charging not only by
timer function but by evaluating the voltage of each bat-
tery. Further each battery compartment has a tempera-
ture sensor. The TC 4 Charger offers a complete safety
system for charging your batteries.
TC 4 quick charges either 1 - 4 NiCd/NiMH batteries ·
AAA size KR 11/45 · R03 up to 1100 mAh or 1 - 4 NiCd/
NiMH batteries · AA size KR 15/51 · R6 up to 2600 mAh.
The TC 4 includes:
1. Wide range adaper with mains plugs EURO, UK, AUS
and USA
2. Car Cord with cigarette adapter plug
3. Charger
Operation:
The TC 4 can be operated either by attached adapter or
by included car cord in your car.
Quick Charging:
1 - 4 rechargeable NiCd/NiMH batteries AAA size or AA
size are inserted - see for correct polarity. Charging time
is automatically fixed depending on type, capacity and
actual status of the batteries. Before TC 4 starts Quick
Charging it checks each battery individually and then
automatically starts Quick Charging. Quick Charge
Mode: LED is flashing slowly.
The LED flashes quickly if the temperature sen-
sors notice a too high temperature in the battery
slots.
No Charging: the LED is off!
If the batteries are not inserted with wrong polarity.
Please note the polarity symbols in each compartment.
If AAA size and AA size batteries are inserted at a time
there is no charging.
If only Alcaline batteries are inserted there is no char-
ging.
If Alcaline and Rechargeable NiCd/NiMH batteries are
mixed only Rechargeables will be charged. There is no
charging for Alkaline batteries.
Pulsed Trickle Charging:
If batteries are full the TC 4 automacially switches to
pulsed trickle charging which prevents batteries from
being discharged. The batteries can remain in the charger
without being overcharged. The LED is permanently
on.

Instruction for use:
It is essential to charge NiCd/NiMH-batteries before using
them for the first time or after they have been stored for
a longer period. In some cases it may be necessary to carry
out the charging process twice in order to return the bat-
teries to full capacity.
The contact surface of the batteries and of the charger
must always be kept clean.
An authorized dealer is to be contacted at once in case
of any damage.
Protect the unit against oil, grease aggressive detergents
and solvents as unit may be destroyed.
The charger is to be used indoor only.
Following a drop or if mains pins are affected the unit has
to be checked immediately by an authorized dealer.
High Temperatures affect the charging process. Ideal are
temperatures up to 40 degrees C.
Please wait for some minutes after quick charging before
quick charging again. Otherwise temperature sensors
won't work correctly.
