Before first Use

Unpack the auto-darkening helmet and dispose off packaging material. Plastic
bags etc. may become a deadly toy for small children.
The auto-darkening welding helmet is delivered ready for use. The only thing
you need to do before welding is to adjust the position of the headband (15.)
Peel out the protective foils from the front and inside cover lenses (1 and 3).

Shade Guide Table

The auto-darkening helmet is equipped with shade levels from 9 to 13. The
shade level has to be adjusted manually according to the application. Please
note the response time from dark to bright and the switching time from bright
to dark from the Technical Data on page 15.
Select the correct shade level from the below table according to your
application. Depending on your personal preference you can use the next
higher or lower shade level.
