Underarm crutch

1. Characteris�cs
The underarm crutch consists of durable, aluminium leg with rubber �p, so�
crutch pad, and adjustable handgrip. Owing to wide range of adjustment, the
crutch can be used either by short or tall pa�ents. Ergonomic shape and universal
size make the crutch comfortable in use.

2. Applica�on
The underarm crutch is a support equipment which is used in case of lower limb
injury with simultaneous injuries of wrist or elbow. It is also recommended to
pa�ents who need help and support while walking for gait re-educa�on a�er
lower limb injuries, and it can also be used as an aid in keeping balance in case of
serious dysfunc�ons of lower limbs or trunk.
Contraindica�ons: coordina�on and balance disorders, advanced rheuma�c
changes, injuries and dysfunc�ons of upper limbs that make it difficult for the user
to support on the crutch.
3. Adjustment
• The crutch should be adjusted individually to the user so that the shoulder
joints are not excessively raised and the level of grip provides a slight flexion
at the elbow joint (at an angle of about 30°).
• To adjust the posi�on of the handgrip, unlock both red locks and adjust the
handgrip to the appropriate level. Then lock both locks.
