SHORTENING THE RODS (OPTIONAL)
If necessary shorten the rods (the guide markings are shown in fig. A):
1 Free the rods from the padding (thigh or calf) (fig. A).
2 Remove the straps from the terminal and intermediate valves (fig. B).
3 Remove from the two rods the valves pressing towards the centre, placing the
screwdriver in the appropriate notch and pressing outwards (fig. C).
4 Place the rod on a worktable so that the edge is aligned with the grooves on the rod
(which coincides with the desired length). Press downwards till it breaks (fig. D).
5 Reposition the terminal valve on the shortened rod, which need not be smoothed
down. Slide in the straps.
