MAINTENANCE
Statutory regulations require that hoists should be inspected and certified at least once every
year by a compentent body. In addition and in order to obtain the maximum reliable perform-
ance and life span, the operator should always make a visual routine check before use, for
damage and wear and to make sure that the hoist operates smoothly.
The following points are to be observed:
-Capacity indication should be clearly visible
-Hoist should be free of dirt and dust
-Chain should be sufficiently lubricated and not worn or damaged
Important: Never lubricate the brake parts, i.e. friction discs, ratchet and disc hub. The brake
is designed to operate dry.
Note: Friction discs are asbestos free.
-All rotating and running parts should operate smoothly and not show wear.
-Bottom hook should be well secured to chain with pin and snap ring.
-All fasteners and connections should be properly tightened.
