7. Working life

7.3 Commissioning

Only those persons who have read and understood these installation instructions completely may
start the linear unit.
Forces arise when this linear unit is in operation which can lead to damage to persons or property.
It is imperative that you obey the safety rules and the limits of the linear unit.

7.3.1 Normal operation

Check the linear unit when in operation regularly for correct performance of its function.
In normal operation, look out for detectable changes to the incomplete machine. Should faults
arise, the linear unit is to be shut down immediately in order to avoid damage.
The operating instructions for the complete machine in accordance with Machine Directive 2006/
42/EC are an essential component of a complete machine.

7.4 Servicing/maintenance/cleaning

Before starting any work on the linear unit, any electrical drives used are to be pro-
tected against accidental switching on.
All linear units are provided in the factory with the required lubricant quantities. Servicing inter-
vals are dependent on the hours run, the stressing and environmental factors.
Lubrication is applied directly to spindles.
Lubricant recommendation: off the shelf roller bearing greases, which must not be mixed with
each other.
Lubricating interval: every 200-500 hours run
