FIRST USE
PREPARING THE CLICK-IN COOKTOP
Before you use the Click-In cooktop for the first time, you should wipe the surface of the lid and the outer
parts of the single cabinet with a damp cloth. This will prevent any residue from the production process
from burning in. Make sure that there is no dirt in the head of the gas cylinder, in the regulator or in the
burners.
BURNING IN THE CLICK-IN COOKTOP
Allow the Click-In cooktop to burn in for 20 minutes before using it for the first time. This will remove any
preservative residues. If there is a slight odor, you do not need to worry. This is harmless. Make sure that
the Click-In cooktop is sufficiently ventilated.
NOTE: Discoloration may occur inside the Click-In cooktop due to heat oxidation. This is a normal reaction
that does not reduce the quality of the Click-In cooktop.
OPERATE CLICK-IN COOKTOP
ATTENTION: Never light the Click-In cooktop with the lid closed. Do not use aluminum foil
or an aluminum tray on the grease drain plate or the grease drip tray. Food residues can easily
accumulate there and catch fire.
BEFORE EACH USE
•
Make sure that there is no grease or food residue on your hob.
•
Check that the gas hose is not damaged and is free of cracks, porous areas and cuts. Make sure that
the gas hose is positioned as far away as possible from the heat of the cooktop.
•
Make sure that the gas hose and the pressure reducer are in perfect condition and that the service life
of 10 years has not been exceeded. Otherwise, replace them with the GRANT Quick Release (female) &
gas hose (946571).
•
Turn the control knob clockwise to the "OFF" position.
•
Connect the pressure regulator to the gas bottle. Attach the quick-release coupling at the other
end of the gas hose to the corresponding counterpart on the T-adapter of the Universal Frame (see
Connecting the gas bottle).
•
Open the valve on the gas cylinder and carry out a leak test between the pressure reducer and the gas
cylinder using leak detection spray or soapy water.

IGNITING THE CLICK-IN COOKTOP
ATTENTION: Never ignite the Click-In cooktop with the lid closed.
SWITCH ON:
1. Turn the control knob counterclockwise until you hear the gas flowing.
2. Wait for 3 seconds and ignite the burner by turning the control knob
slightly further until you hear the "click" sound of the piezo ignition. The
burner should ignite. If the burner does not ignite immediately, repeat
this step 3 to 4 times.
WARNING: If the burner still does not ignite after several attempts,
turn the control knob clockwise to the "OFF" position and close the gas
bottle valve. Wait for 5 minutes and try again.
3. Adjust the heat by turning the control knob to any setting between the
highest level "HI" and the lowest level "LO".
SWITCH OFF:
1. Turn the control dial back clockwise.
2. Allow the burner to cool down before putting the lid on.
CLICK-IN COOKTOP CLEAN & CARE
Risk of fire and explosion
•
Clean the Click-In cooktop after each use.
•
Do not use flammable cleaning agents.
•
Remove the gas cylinder before cleaning.
•
If the gas valve is blocked in exceptional cases, clear it with a cleaning needle or pipe cleaner.
TIP: Bend the pipe cleaner by 90° to clean the gas valve optimally.
1. Clean the outside with a soft terry cloth, warm water and mild detergent. ATTENTION: Do not use a
microfiber cloth to clean the stainless steel surfaces - it would scratch the material.
2. Dry the surfaces thoroughly with a soft terry cloth. Apply stainless steel cleaner to the stainless steel
surfaces as required. ATTENTION: Observe the exposure time specified by the manufacturer for the
stainless steel cleaner and do not exceed this.
3. Remove any stainless steel cleaner residue with a clean, soft terry cloth.
ATTENTION: Make sure that all stainless steel cleaner residues are completely removed before you use
your cooktop the next time. Otherwise it may burn in and discolor or damage the material.
