2.0 USING THE WOOD-SPLITTER

The wood-splitter described in this handbook
is designed for cutting logs only. The
Manufacturer disclaims all liability for any
other use your wood-splitter might be put to.
CHECK THE LEVEL OF OIL IN THE TANK
THROUGH THE PLUG WITH DIPSTICK
(SEE FIG. 7) AND TOP UP IF NECESSARY.

2.0.1 OPERATION

1) Plug the power cable into the appropriate
socket and power up with the switch (see
pos.10, Fig.1), green push-button.
Your 6000 wood-splitter is equipped with
a two-hand control that allows operation
only when both the operator's hands are
on the control levers, thereby ensuring the
utmost safety in conformity with European
standards.
2) Position the log to be cut on the wooden
guide, resting it against the knife.
3) Operate the control levers by turning them
at the same time to their limit stop, in this
way the wood-splitter will split the log.

N.B.
When the pusher is at the limit stop or when
the cutting force is not sufficient to break the
log (a whistle can be heard indicating the
safety valve has tripped) do NOT persist with
the action but bring the pusher back to full
aperture and possibly reposition the log with
a different and more suitable arrangement of
the wood fibres.
4) On letting go of both levers, the pusher
(mobile cylinder) will go back into the fully
open position.
5) On completing work, stop the wood-splitter.
To stop the motor, press the red button on top
of the motor (see item 10, Fig. 1).
