Hood
When mounting the male insert and hood, these
installation instructions must be observed to ensure
perfect functioning.

7 Pressure screw
– Slide the pressure screw 7, clamp type cage 6, seal
5 and the hood 4 over the cable.
– Trim the external cable sheath to a length of 50 mm.
– Fold the braided screen and the single wire over the
external sheath.
– Slide the shielded sleeve
3 over the cable (Figure
2), so that the rounded
end faces the open cores
and the shielded sleeve 3
is flush with the external
sheath and makes contact
with the braided screen.

– Insert the cable into the crimping pliers and crimp the
shielded sleeve 3 (Figure 3).
– Cut off the protruding braided
screen (1) (Figure 4).
– To make it easier to feed the
wires into the feeding aid 3,
arrange the wires and cut them
off at an angle of 45° (Figure 5).
– Feed the wires into the
feeding aid 2 (Figure 6).
– Shorten the wires to a length of
a=14 mm
(Figure 7).
– Pull the feeding aid 2 to the end
of the wires.
– Insert the feeding
aid 2 together with
the wires from the
rear into the male
inser 1 and slide
t
the wires in as far as
they will go
(Figure 8).
– Check that the wires are in the correct position below
the contacts.
– Feed the male insert 1 into the crimping pliers and 1
crimp the male insert (Figure 9).
– Push the engagement lever of the male insert 1 down
and slide the hood 4 over the male insert 1 until they
snap onto each other.

– Feed the seal 5 and the clamp type cage 6 into the
hood 4 and screw the pressure screw 7 into the hood
4 with a torque of 2.5 Nm.

frame, these installation instructions must be observed to

– Snap the female insert 0 from behind into the panel
mounting frame 8, so that the socket is freely

accessible from the front for the male insert 1.
– Lay the seal 9 under the panel mounting frame 8.
– Using four screws, screw the panel mounting frame 8
from the front to the mounting panel, until the seal 9
becomes visible from the side.

Mounting frame with
cable connection
When a female insert with cable connection is used, the
cable must be connected as follows:
– Trim the external cable sheath to a length of
b = 30 mm (Figure 11).
– Fold the braided screen
and the single wire over
the external sheath.
– Fix the cores in the core
connector shoe so that
the length c = 8 cm
– Trim the protruding core
ends to d ð 1 mm
– Press the core
connector shoe in
down to the
bottom of the
takeup in the
female insert 0
(Figure 12).
– Arrange the braided
screen so that the
contact to the shield
locators is good and
snap the lid in place
(Figure 13).
– To provide strain relief,
fix a cable tie around the
shield locator
(Figure 14).
