I. Freestanding
Unit
We recommend that you remove the holder pushed over the foot. This gives
the timer a more elegant appearance when freestanding, and it can then be
rotated easily for you to see the display clearly.

the unit on furniture
Removethb holderpushedoverthe foot.Thisholderhasfour holesfor
fitting. Place it in position where the Studio Timer is to be fastened and mark
for points through holes on furniture or wall.
Please
note:
Because the unit is pushed into the holder from the left hand side, please
ensure that there is sufficient room to allow this (at least 9 1/4 in / 23,5 cm).
When mounting the unit to fumiture, drill holes where marked with a 1/16 in
(I - I .5 mm) drill and fasten holder with the enclosed short flathead screws.
For mounting on a wall use 5/16 in (7 mm) masonry drill to make holes in
places marked, and insert the plugs provided. Use four long flat-head
screws
to fasten
holder
to wall.
Your are now ready to push your Studio Timer from the left into the holder.
Turn the unit on its axis so that the display is clearly visible.
Power supply
Connect your Studio Timer to a 220 V / 230 V / 50 - 60 Hz socket. For
optimal reception, position the aerial for your favourite stations.
Setting the clock
This should be done when the unit is switched
the clock is displayed.
Open cover.
Depress and hold MEMORY button. Press HOUR and MIN simultane-
ously while memory light is on. After setting the correct time (24 hour dis-
play) release MEMORY button. Memory light goes out.
Your Studio Timer is equipped with a quartz-controlled
not dependent on your power frequency. A built-in storage battery ensures
that the clock continues working without display for some time during a
power failure. If the unit is disconnected for longer periods, the clock has to
be reset
on reconnection.

found a station you want to use, you can store it on one of the 8 station
buttons.
This is done as follows:

i.e. within 5 seconds. The memory light will come on.
2. Within 5 seconds, while memory light is still on, press the station select
button you wish to reserve for that particular station, say button I.
The station is now stored in the memory, and from now on you can receive
that programme instandly by pressing station select button 1.
All other stations are stored in the same way, namely by first pressing the
UP or DOWN button until the required station is found, then pressing the
MEMORY button, followed by the station select button. And please
remember that you have 5 seconds for each stage of this procedure.
Once all the required programmes have been stored in the memory, you
can tune in by simply pressing the relevant station select button.
Stereo reception
The Studio Timer switches to stereo only if the station provides a strong
signal. The stereo light then comes on. If there is weak reception, stereo
transmissions will be played in mono.
If there is much noise at stereo reception, you can switch to MONO.
