6. Do not allow this device to be used by anyone who is not familiar
with it or has not read these instructions.
7. RISK OF SHORT CIRCUIT! Do not open the housing under any
cir-cumstances. Never insert any objects into the interior of the
housing.
8. RISK OF FIRE AND SHORT CIRCUIT! Do not submerge
the device in water and also do not use the device near
water. Do not allow any liquids to penetrate into the device.
9. This device should only be used in a dry environment. It should
never be used in the rain or humid conditions.
10. Do not use, store or place the device on or near to hot surfaces
and exposed ignition sources (e.g. hobs, ovens, radiators or
candles).
11. Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong
vibrations, powerful mechanical stresses, direct sunlight, moisture
or rain. Otherwise, this could damage the device.
12. Check the device regularly for any damage.
13. Do not operate the device if it displays any signs of damage or
has been otherwise damaged.
14. Please contact customer services if the appliance malfunctions or
there are any signs of damage.
15. RISK OF INJURY! To avoid any dangerous situations arising, a
faulty device may only be repaired by either the manufacturer, its
customer service department or a similarly qualified person.
16. Do not make any modifications to the device.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON HANDLING BATTERIES
Please note the following instructions when handling batteries:
▪ RISK OF EXPLOSION AND INJURY! Never throw batteries into a fire. Never recharge non-
rechargeable batteries.
▪ When replacing batteries, only use the same type of battery or an equivalent.
▪ Always change all the batteries at the same time. Do not use a combination of new and used batteries,
i.e. batteries with unequal charges.
▪ Never use an alkaline battery with a rechargeable battery.
▪ RISK OF EXPLOSION AND INJURY! Never open batteries. Never solder or weld batteries.
▪ RISK OF EXPLOSION AND INJURY! Do not short-circuit the connections.
▪ RISK OF FIRE AND EXPLOSION! Ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly. Observe the (+)
plus and (-) minus polarities on the battery and the battery compartment. Incorrectly inserted batteries
may leak.
▪ RISK OF EXPLOSION! Never expose the batteries to excessive heat (e.g. strong sunlight or fire).
▪ Check the batteries regularly. Leaking batteries can cause damage to the device.
▪ RISK OF CORROSION! If a battery has leaked, remove it from the battery compartment with the help
of a cloth and dispose of it properly. Avoid battery acid coming into contact with your skin and eyes. If
battery acid comes into contact with your eyes, rinse out your eyes with lots of water and immediately
