REPLACING CUTTING TEETH

1. Support the stump grinder to prevent it from tipping over.
2. Stop the tractor engine and remove the key.
3. Inspect the cutting teeth for damage. The tooth can be turned 3 times before replacing it.
4. Replace individual teeth when needed.
5. Remove the lock nut (1) and cutting tooth (2).
6. Rotate the tooth or install a replacement tooth and lock nut. Tighten the lock nut (1) to 95
lb./ft. (129 Nm) torque. Do not allow untrained or unqualified people to operate this
equipment.

HOW TO CUT STUMPS

Make sure to always run at low rpm when engaging and disengaging the PTO. When the PTO shaft
is engaged and stump grinding is about to begin, the speed is increased to 540 rpm, which is
maintained while stump grinding.
Always operate PTO shaft at 540 rpm. This is necessary in order to maintain the correct wheel
speed for good and efficient stump grinding. Do not disengage the PTO shaft while the engine is
running at full PTO rpm. Always put the tractor in idle speed before disengaging the PTO shaft.
When the first cutting cycle is complete, raise the cutting wheel slightly to move the wheel back to
the starting position.
Lower the cutting wheel and make a deep cut.
Repeat the previous steps until about 30 cm of the stump has been milled.
Run the cutting wheel at 540 revolutions per minute (no load speed).
The cutting wheel feed is controlled by the hydraulic cylinder and flow control valve.
The cutting speed depends on the type of wood, the condition of the wood and the condition of the
cutting teeth.
Excessive feed will either cause the engine to stall or the clutch to release.
Too light a feed will result in sawdust.
