When the unit is in use, at least 20% of the weight of the tractor and equipment must be on the
tractor's front wheels.
The weight may be attained with a front-end loader, front wheel weights, ballast in tires or front
tractor weights. When attaining a minimum 20% of tractor and equipment weight on the front
wheels, you must not exceed the ROPS weight certification. Weigh the tractor and equipment. DO
NOT GUESS OR ESTIMATE.

ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

This device is delivered almost fully assembled. Carefully follow the instructions for final assembly.
Before assembly and installation, please take note of the following.
Make sure you have all the necessary parts and equipment on hand, it will make the installation
task easier and will make the job as safe as possible.
Refer to the Exploded view in this manual to see how to put the parts together.
Check the screws and pins that were delivered with the machine. All hardware that comes from
the factory has been installed in the location where it will be used. If a part or fastener is
temporarily removed, remember where it should go for subsequent assembly. Keep track of
the parts.
Have a forklift or loader with chains and support stands that are sized for the job and ready for
the installation task.
Never let anyone stand between the rear of the tractor and the stump grinder while the tractor
is backing up.
Always stand to the side until tractor has come to a complete stop and the brakes set or the
tractor shift in parking gear.
Back to align the lifting arms with the stump grinder attachment points.

Attach both lower lifting arms to the stump grinder. Secure with linch pins. Tractor lift arm stabilizer

bars or sway blocks must be used to control side movement of the stump grinder. DO NOT
CONNECT THE PTO DRIVELINE AT THIS TIME.
Install suitable top link between tractor and stump grinder. Secure with link pins and linch pins.
3.
Lift the stump grinder and check that both lifting arms are at the same height. Adjust if necessary.
