Gebrauchsanleitung
Besonderheiten:
Ein völlig neuartiges Bauprinzip, unter Verwendung eines Schalldämpfers verleiht JBL
ProSilent Luftpumpen extreme Laufruhe. JBL ProSilent Luftpumpen hört man fast nicht.
Präzise Fertigung und hochwertige Materialien sorgen für höchste Lebensdauer. Die Modelle
S200 und S500 sind mit einem neuartigen Durchflußregler (US Pat.) ausgestattet, der ein
exaktes Einstellen der Luftmenge gestattet. Alle Teile (Membrane etc.) sind, falls erforderlich,
leicht auszuwechseln.
Inbetriebnahme:
1. JBL ProSilent Luftpumpe an einem trockenen und staubfreien Ort möglichst oberhalb
des Wasserspiegels anbringen, um bei Stromausfall einen Rückfluß von Wasser in das
Gerät zu vermeiden.
2. Wird das Gerät unterhalb des Wasserspiegels aufgestellt, empfehlen wir den Einsatz
eines JBL ProSilent Rückschlagventils oder die Anbringung des Luftschlauches in
Form einer Schleife von ca. 15 cm über dem Wasserspiegel.
3. Luftbetriebene Artikel (Ausströmer etc.) installieren und dann Gerät mit dem Stromnetz
verbinden. Luftmenge nach Bedarf am Drehregler einstellen (nur S200 u. S500 ).
Wartung:
Luftfilter: Am Boden des Geräts befindet sich eine Filzscheibe, die je nach Verschmutzungs-
grad regelmäßig auszuwechseln ist.
Äußere Pflege: Mögliche Verunreinigungen am Gehäuse mit einem feuchten Tuch entfernen.
Gerät nicht ins Wasser tauchen!
Vermeidung von Leistungsabfall: Ausströmersteine und andere luftbetriebene Artikel
verstopfen mit der Zeit durch Kalkablagerungen etc. Deshalb Ausströmer von Zeit zu Zeit
überprüfen und, falls nötig, wechseln. Andere luftbetriebene Artikel auf optimalen Durchgang
prüfen und, falls nötig, reinigen.
Auswechseln der Membrane: Nachlassende Leistung bei nicht verstopften Ausströmern
deutet auf eine defekte Membrane hin. Membrane und andere Verschleißteile sind als
komplettes Ersatzteilset im Handel erhältlich. Wechseln Sie bitte immer alle im Set
enthaltenen Teile aus, um die optimale Leistung des Gerätes zu erhalten:
Entfernen Sie die 4 Schrauben an der Unterseite des Gerätes und heben den Gerätedeckel
ab. Lösen Sie dei Schrauben A und heben den kompletten Pumpenkopf mit der Membrane
heraus. Nach Lösen der Schraube B mit dem im Set beiliegenden Werkzeug können
Membrane, Ventile etc. ausgetauscht werden. Eventuelle Schmutzablagerungen entfernen
und in umgekehrter Reihenfolge wieder zusammenbauen.
Sicherheitshinweise:
1. Alle elektrischen Geräte vom Netz trennen, bevor Sie ins Aquarium greifen!
2. Gerät darf nicht für andere Zwecke als vom Hersteller vorgesehen, verwendet werden!
3. Gerät niemals ins Wasser tauchen!
4. Vor Öffnen des Gerätes Netzstecker ziehen!
5. Bei Beschädigung des Netzkabels muß dieses ersetzt werden (Fachmann)!
Garantie:
Für dieses Gerät gewähren wir eine Garantie von 1 Jahr auf Fabrikations- und Materialfehler,
gerechnet ab Kaufdatum. Die Garantie gilt nicht bei unsachgemäßer Behandlung,
Wasserschäden und Verschmutzung. Membrane und andere Verschleißteile sowie
Folgeschäden fallen nicht unter die Garantie.

Features
JBL ProSilent operates at an extremely low noise level due to a completely new construction
design incorporating a silencer. JBL ProSilent air pumps are scarcely audible. Precision
workmanship and high quality materials ensure long working life. The S 200 and S 500
models are equiped with a newly designed flow regulator (US patent), allowing the air
volume to be set with great precision. All parts (membrane etc.) can be easily changed if
required.
Operation
1. Place the JBL ProSilent air pump in a dry, dust-free position above the water surface to
avoid a flow-back of water into the equipment in the event of power failure.
2. If the device is located below the surface of the water we recommend the use of a JBL
ProSilent non-return valve or the positioning of the air tube in a loop of 15 cm above the
surface of the water.
3. Install air operated items (diffusers etc.) and connect the device to the mains outlet. Set
the air volume as required with the rotary knob (S 200 and S 500 only).
Maintenance
Air filter: the felt pad located in the base of the device should be changed regularly
depending on the level of pollution.
External care: remove any dirt on the casing with a damp cloth. Do not submerge device in
water.
Avoiding reduction in efficiency: airstones and other air operated devices eventually become
clogged with calcium deposits etc. Therefore check the outlets from time to time and
change if necessary. Check other air operated articles for optimum air flow and clean if
required.
Changing the membrane:
Reduced efficiency despite unblocked air outlets is an indication of a faulty membrane.
Membranes and other articles subject to wear are available for sale as a complete set of
replacement parts. Always change all the parts included in the set to ensure optimum
efficiency of the device:
Remove the 4 screws on the underside of the device and lift off the lid. Loosen screw A and
lift out the complete pump head with the membrane. After undoing screw B using the tools
provided, the membrane, valve etc. can be exchanged. Re-assemble in reverse order.
Safety notes
1. Disconnect all electrical appliances before reaching into the aquarium.
2. Appliance may not be used for other purposes than those intended by the
manufacturer.
3. Never submerge the appliance in water.
4. Disconnect plug from mains before openning the appliance.
5. If damaged, the power cable must be replaced (by qualified personnel).
Warranty
We provide a warranty of one year from the date of purchase on manufacturing or material
faults for this JBL appliance. The warranty does not apply in cases of improper handling,
water damage or contamination with dirt. Membranes and other parts subject to wear are
not covered by the warranty.
